Happy 2021
With Covid-19 impacting the world it has become harder to enjoy art together. As a reaction to this, I have had to grow and adapt my creativity. From working with a hotel to working with a crypto-gallery this time has allowed me to expand my art into new realms while staying connected to the world. Whether physical or digital I strive to bring my art closer to you.

EMILY COLVIN PAINTS ON GLASS. IN HER WORK YOU WILL FIND COLOR, FLORAL BRUSH STROKES, PRINT, LAYERED ACRYLIC, AND WATERCOLOR. EMILY’S ARTWORK RANGES FROM ABSTRACT TO STRUCTURAL, BRIDGING ROBUST TO RUGGED, GIVING EACH PIECE ITS UNIQUE APPEAL. AS YOU ENTER LA CASA DEL CAMINO, YOU WILL IMMEDIATELY NOTICE COLVIN’S PIECES GLITTERING ALL OVER THE HOTEL. THERE ARE SIXTEEN PIECES TOTAL. STARTING WITH THE WALLS IN THE FIRST FLOOR LIVING ROOM, THROUGH THE HALLS AND UP TO THE ROOFTOP. EACH SITTING AREA HAS A SCULPTURE TO ADMIRE.

An intimate project on what keeps me going and the process behind my artistry. Creating this series with the support of FORECAST journal filmmakers, photographers, and writers allows me to express how I preserve these ideals.
FORECAST joUrnal CREATES ANNUAL & BIANNUAL HALF ISSUES FEATURING RISING VISUAL ARTISTS, SELECTED BY THE CREATIVE DIRECTOR, BY ARRANGING AND PRODUCING FIRST-TIME SOLO EXHIBITIONS. FJ PUBLISHES PRINTED MATERIAL, PLANNED BY THE EXHIBITING ARTIST WITHOUT ANY RULES OR GUIDELINES REGARDING FORMAT, WHICH IS THEN PRESENTED AND SOLD TO PROVIDE CONTEXT FOR THE ARTWORKS ON DISPLAY.
FORECAST Journal WILL BE PRODUCING ISSUE 5.5 THAT WILL INCLUDE LARGE FORMAT PHOTOGRAPHY AND A 16MM ART FILM.
PAINTINGS AND SCULPTURES IN THIS COLLECTION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE STARTING OPENING NIGHT.
