This series, photographed in an editorial style on Kodak 120 Ektachrome E100 Slide Film by LA street photographer Kristi Kase, captures the essence of an art heist with bold colors and sharp shadows. Set against the backdrop of a quiet night, while the hotel sleeps and security is absorbed in their own distractions, we immerse ourselves in the thrill of the moment. Inspired by the daring 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa by Vincenzo Peruggia, who stole the masterpiece right under the nose of the Louvre’s security, I present Heist (2021).
